2-day TaKeTiNa workshop

Zorina Wolf

Zorina has been playing the drum for 18 years and teaching introductory classes in the Bay Area in drum music for the last 14. She began drumming when she met and became the student of with her longtime mentor, the late Nigerian drummer, Baba Olatunji. Zorina studied with Baba for 15 years. In 1996, Zorina met Reinhard Flatischler, the developer of the TaKeTiNa process. She saw the potential to take her rhythm training deeper. Zorina completed her three-year basic level TaKeTiNa training under Reinhard Flatischler in 2001 and in 2003, she completed her advanced level exam.

Deborah Masterson

Deborah began her ongoing TaKeTiNa training in 1998, earning a basic teacher certificate in 2001. Deborah finds TaKeTiNa to be not only an outstanding tool for exploring her particular musical passions (Korean, Middle Eastern, and Afro-Cuban drumming), but also a critical key to gaining a deeper understanding of herself and her relationships to others.
